A vintage English horse brass featuring British Admiral Lord Nelson, heroically remembered for his battles in both the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Also inscribed 1805, the year of his death. Measures 3.5" by 3"
Horse brass medallions were at their height during the late 1800s to early 1900s, and were used to embellish horse harnesses for show. Use them today as ornaments, tied to wreath with pretty ribbon, or frame in a shadowbox.
