A vintage English horse brass featuring the traditional Jenny Jones Welsh figure. Jenny Jones is a traditional folklore figure from Wales often depicted wearing a iconic tall hat and traditional Welsh costume. Her legend is deeply intertwined with the history of Gwen ferch Ellis, a 16th-century weaver and herbalist who became the first person executed for witchcraft in Wales. Over the centuries, her name evolved from a real-life tragedy into a cultural symbol, inspiring popular 19th-century Welsh folk music and regional folk stories.
