Antique French First Communion Leather Bound Book

Antique French First Communion book, dated 1882. Includes devotions, prayer guides, and other religious instruction.  Calf leather cover with watered silk moiré end papers, dentelle gilt edging, and gilt page edges.

Features fill color illustrations and beautiful French text with a red Greek key border on every text page. 

A book of this quality was typically given as a celebration of the First Communion and was meant to be an heirloom piece, passed down through generations.

Measures 5.5" by 3.5" Shows wear consistent with age including wear on cover and cover edges along with foxing staining on interior pages.  The spine is intact and all pages are present.
