Antique English Virol Bone Marrow Stoneware Advertising Jar, c.1900
Couldn't load pickup availability
An early 20th century English stoneware advertising jar for Virol, a bone marrow preparation once marketed as a nourishing food for children and the ill. The cream stoneware body features the original black transfer decoration with the classic Virol branding and Royal Appointment crest.
The jar is in very good antique condition with no cracks. There are two small rough areas on the body that appear to be original firing or glazing irregularities rather than later damage, along with expected age-related wear.
Measures 5.5" tall. Sourced in England, circa 1900
