Beautiful English rolling pin, made of one solid piece of wood (likely Beech). 14.5" long, dates c1900. Does have a few knife marks on one top side.
English rolling pins like these date from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period. They were hand-turned, likely from Beechwood, and were utilitarian pieces in hardworking English kitchens. Enjoy today for their soft wood patina, try styled standing inside a lovely ironstone pitcher or antique crock.
