A substantial vintage French kitchen torchon woven in natural linen or linen-blend fabric with classic red triple stripes and a hand-embroidered “L.J” monogram near one corner.
Larger and heavier than many traditional tea towels, it has the wonderfully textured hand and practical scale associated with old French household linens. Measures approximately 23" by 36", in good vintage linen condition
Origin in France, sourced in England. Mid-20th century.
