A beautiful late Victorian music folio featuring Weber's Der Freischütz, published by Boosey & Co., London in their Royal Edition series. The richly embossed red cloth binding with gilt decoration makes this just as striking displayed on a shelf or music stand as it is collected for its musical history.

Music folios like these were popular in Victorian parlors, where families gathered around the piano to perform opera selections and popular classical works at home.

Officially undated but a handwritten inscription on front inside cover page dates the copy to Nov 1892. 

Overall very good condition, with minimal wear to the cover. Binding is intact, pages are clean with some light foxing seen in parts. Measures 10" by 7"
